It is the end of January, and Titus has almost gone through 4 weeks of school! Praise the Lord!
This week was hiliariously eventful. One morning, he kinda woke up at 5am beside me on the bed. He sat up, looked at his socks, and asked "are the socks red colour?" i told him, no, they are green. he replied "hmm. green. i seeee." then he looked at the red blinking light in the distance and started commenting on it. i got fed up cos it was 5am!! i commanded him to lie down and sleep. He lay down and went "cock-a-doo-a-doo". Boy it was super amusing! But i stifled my laugh and sternly asked him to fall back to sleep, which he did. Thank God!
This Mummy was slightly annoyed on Tuesday. I followed the other children to china town as part of their excursion. Usually, i put my hp on silent mode. For some reason, I was prompted to put it on normal mode where i could hear the ring tone. At about 11.30am, the hp rang. It was Titus' school bus driver. Apparently, there was no one waiting to pick the boy up. Grr. I called home, and when i maid answered the phone, i shooed her down immediately to pick Titus up.
I am so proud of Titus. He is indeed learning well in school, and trying to apply his newly found knowledge at home! Yesterday evening, he pointed to my eyes and said "yan3 jing1". pointed to my nose and said "bi3 zi1"haha. wrong voice inflexion, but he got the item right. tried to pronounce "zui3 ba1" but not quite there. so funny!
I thank God that Titus is a teachable boy. I pray that God will continue to guide Titus in school, and keep him well protected and safe from all harm. Thank you Jesus. Amen!

Week 3
It's the end of week 3 of school. Titus is getting quite used to this routine. Each morning when we both take a cab to school, he is able to tell the taxi driver our destination. Able to sit well in the cab and not fidgeting. Able to go happily with his teachers without this mummy.
This week was fun for him, I hope! He was brought to the school playground for the first time this week! He enjoyed himself tremendously! He was telling me about how he enjoyed playing on the slide! So cute! Sometimes, I would peep through his classroom to see what he is doing. Each time, he looks like he is doing great! I saw him do some artwork with Ms Eileen. I saw him sit on the mat, listening to the teacher. I saw him go to the library corner, pick a book, and sit down to read it. Although some other kid came along to snatch his book, thank God the teachers witnessed it and helped Titus. I saw him being more independent, wanting to feed himself more often. I'm so thankful to God!
During the week, Titus came back with 2 red lines on his arm. I asked him about it, and he replied that he fell in school. Anyway, I messaged Ms Eillen to find out what happened. Apparently, some other hyper active kid scratched my Titus. Grr. Eileen also kena scratched. They should keep a watch on that kid!~
But anyay, I thank God that Titus is enjoying himself in school and learning things. He is actually down with a runny nose right now, no thanks to DADDY who left the air con on for too long last night. Grr.. I pray that Titus will be well soon.

week 2 of school 2011
We all survived yet another week of school!
Titus is adjusting well, with or without me, thank God.
Monday was the first time he took the school bus home. He was very good in school. After school was over, I walked him down to the school bus, holding his hand. I showed him the bus and told him that he was going to take the school bus to grandma's place. He started crying and wanted to take a TAXI!! Aiyoh! He then wanted me to carry him, and what could i do but carry him? He clung on to me like a koala bear! didn't want to get on the bus at all! oh well! i got on the bus with him. yes, with him! thank God my classes were over. So, anyway, we both got on the bus and got sent to mount faber peacefully. End of Monday.
The rest of the week passed by rather peacefully where school bus was concerned.
In school, this Mummy observed that Titus tended to play with his food. He would use his spoon to go round and round his bowl of food. Grrr. And the teacher at his table was so bloody bo chup. I could not take it, and each time I saw this happen, I would just go to Titus and feed him. He was served cereal on Monday. It was disgustingly big. Honey stars mixed with some big-sized round cereal. Not at all enticing. And of course, knowing my son, he was also not enticed by the disgusting-looking cereal. Anyway, for the few days i was around, i was feeding Titus and making sure he wasn't playing with his food.
Colleagues informed me that Titus was addressing his chinese teacher as Aunty. Haha! Well, his class teacher was the one who informed me. She started off by asking me if Titus disliked chinese lessons, cos he liked to walk around the classroom during chinese lessons, instead of sitting down on the mat. well, we thought that maybe Titus was being cheeky with lao shi. haha! We observed Titus for a few days, and discovered that whoever he was not familiar with, he would address as Aunty. So, it was not a matter of cheekiness, but at least he knows how to address pple!
I'm glad and I thank God that Titus is coping well in school. He is learning well and making new friends. Each time he walks with his partner or a new friend, he would ask "what is your name?" Aiyoh, so cute! I pray that he will enjoy school and be a happy boy in school!

School day 4
It is the end of week 1 of school! We all survived it, daddy, mummy, and Titus. Boy has been enjoying himself, learning new things. This weekend, he has been repeating a few things that I believe he was taught in school. Such as "what is this funny animal?"
something else he has been repeating is: "after 1 is 2, after 3 is 4, after 5 is 6, after 7 is 8, after 9 is 10" ok, whatever happened to the even numbers, dear teacher?? but it's great that he caught the drift! cos it sounds so very funny and cute when he says all that stuff.

School day 3
Today was Boy's 3rd day of school. He woke up slightly later today. aiyoh! As he was so tired, I changed his pampers and clothes right there on the bed as he lay with his eyes closed. When he finally managed to sit up, he complained that he couldn't open his eyes. aiyoh!! i had to get the cotton wool to clean his eyes and coax him to slowly open his eyes. Thank God he managed!
Grandparents came to pick us, and thank God we were not late for school. He was a bit "nian" again, but he coped well and happily followed his teachers. Again, he enjoyed assembly, singing and clapping to the songs. A bit "nian" again after assembly, but was again ok with teachers. Here is something interesting: The group of children who were early for school were brought upstairs by the teachers first, Titus included. The school bus was late. So the first group of children were upstairs, sitting on the floor. After a while, we heard the 2nd group of children making their way to us. Well, Titus was sitting right at the corridor. He heard the children approaching, turned and saw them, and waved excitedly to them "Hello, Hello, Hello, HELLO!!!!!" Aiyoh, so very cute!
I was mainly helping out with nursery class, so didnt see much of him. I saw him briefly during his snack time. He looked happy to see me too! He went to stand right in my line of vision, caught my eye, gave me a huge smile, and gave me the "good good" sign! I was so very proud of him!
Ena came to pick him today, and he was happy leaving with her. All good today, with no incident. Good job, Titus!

Yesterday, wednesday, was day 2 of school for boy.
It was a challenge for this mummy, cos we had to take find our way to school ourselves! I called for a taxi and it brought us to school, on time! we made it!
we reached school, and as there were no children there yet, i brought him up with me to my room to put down my stuff. He was so excited in my room as he looked out the window and saw all the lorries zooming by. but we had to go.
he was a happy boy during assembly, as usual, though a bit "nian" to me. He also ate well during snack time, which he had main xian with soup and egg and veg. he enjoyed all of the food! He looked at the boy beside him, who had more soup in his noodles, and picked at his friend's soup! His friend was slightly messy and had some main xian on the table. Dear Titus picked up the noodles and ate it! aiyoh! such a funny guy!

Start of school!
Titus started school on Tuesday! He was excited, I was excited (stressed), grandparents were excited, nana was excited! We were all so very excited for him!!
He was a very good boy in school too. He enjoyed the singing during assembly, cos mummy was around playing the piano! Well, i managed to peep through the gaps to see what he was doing in class. He enjoyed the toys in class. He was a bit cheeky during chinese lesson though. His friends were sitting on the mat, in front of the teacher. And dear Titus was sitting at a table, playing with some toys! A teacher came and shooed him to the mat, but he managed to shoo the teacher away. The teacher tried again a few minutes later and succeeded. Titus rambled away, only to walk to the library corner, where he took a book to read. Haha, so cute! I was so amused when he opened up the book, cos it turned out to be a chinese story book. (it was supposed to be chinese lesson time anyway!) He brought the book with him where he plonked himself on the mat finally.
He was also very good during snack time. Tuesday was porridge day. Eileen sand the grace song super fast. When she was done, i saw that Titus still had his hands together in prayer. I went to him, quickly said grace with him, and got him to start eating. I reminded him to scoop properly and aim the food well into his mouth. He was good! 90%. There was minimal spill on his pants, just 2 or 3 grains of rice. He shirt was clean! so proud of him!
